State Games of America!
If you win/won a medal in the 2005 or 2006 Big Sky State Games, you also win an invitation to the State Games of America, an opportunity to represent Montana and showcase your abilities on a national level.  The 2007 State Games of America competition will be held August 2-5 2007 in Colorado Springs, CO and will feature top-level, amateur athletes from across the United States.
 


 


2005 / 2006 Athlete Travel Grant Application

 

Congratulations on your gold, silver, or bronze medal performance in the Big Sky State Games during the years of 2005 or 2006. The travel grant is designated for those athletes who will be competing in the State Games of America in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2007. Medallists in the following sports are eligible to receive grant monies: BSSG qualifying sports are Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Billiards, Bowling, Figure Skating, Golf, Karate, Racquetball, Road Races 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathon, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Track & Field, Triathlon, Weightlifting and Wrestling. After the Big Sky State Games office has received confirmation of applicant’s registration from the State Games of America, recipients will then be selected and awarded travel and/or entry fee assistance for the national competition. The application deadline is April1, 2006. State Games of America registration deadline is June 1, 2007.
