No matter where you finish, Opening Ceremonies is the place to start!

Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Big Sky State Games, sponsored by Wendy's, will be a colorful evening packed with exciting family entertainment,
Friday, July 20th.
Wendy's Field at Daylis Stadium, 3rd & Grand Ave.
Gates open at 5:30 pm ~ Ceremony officially begins at 7:30 pm

OLYMPIC TRACK AND FIELD GOLD MEDALIST
JACKIE JOYNER-KERSEE
Olympic track and field gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee was the special guest athlete of the 26th annual Big Sky State Games. She addressed the audience during Opening Ceremonies, Friday, July 15, at Wendy's Field at Daylis Stadium in Billings.

Joyner - Kersee's Olympic accomplishments date back to the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles when she became the Olympic Silver Medalist for the Heptathlon. She went on to win the Gold medal for both the Heptathlon and Long Jump in the 1988 Games in Seoul, Korea. Joyner - Kersee was awarded the Gold medal for the Heptathlon and the Bronze medal for Long Jump in the XXV Olympiad Games held in Barcelona in 1992. She ended her Olympic career in 1996 at the Centennial Olympics in Atlanta with a Bronze medal for the Long Jump.

The 4-Time World Champion still holds the World Heptathlon Record of 7, 291 points set on 9/24/88.



 Athletes are admitted with their Opening Ceremonies ticket mailed prior to the Games.
Admission is $5 for adults and free to children 6 and under
