Year #7 1992 There were plenty of reasons to participate in the ‘92 Games. Perhaps the most compelling reason was joining 10,025 fellow Montanan’s in serious fun. Canoe/Kayak was added to the Games, the sport featured recreation, racing and standard events. The greatest diver of all-time, 1984 and 1988 Olympic Gold Medallist, Greg Louganis delivered the Oath to Athletes and lit the ceremonial torch. The Montana Mile was added to the slate of Opening Ceremonies events. The race featured the top milers from Montana. Former Senior High graduate, Donnie Belcourt, won the event. |
