What is Rock The Rims 3 on 3? Rock the Rims is a 3-on-3 outdoor basketball tournament for both male and female participants of all sizes and abilities, age 8 and over. The tournament is designed by players for players, guaranteeing each team three scheduled games, a tournament T-shirt, and plenty of hoop action. Each team consists of three, four, or five players. Unlimited substituting is permitted when the ball is not in play. Teams will be placed in divisions based upon a combination of age, height, and playing ability, allowing everyone to play. How to enter? Entry forms will be available this summer at Rimrock Mall, Hot 101.9 radio, Big Sky State Games Office and most Sporting Goods stores. The entry fee is $105 for a team of five. The deadline is Thursday, July 18. Roster Changes are $10 per player and must be made before playing the first scheduled game. Special Events: Free Throw Competition and Slam Dunk Competition Where & When? 2007 Rock The Rims will be held Saturday, August 5 and Sunday August 6 at Rimrock Mall parking lot in Billings. How to play? Games are played to 20 points or for 30 minutes. Each team is allowed three 45-second time-outs. Baskets scored within the arc count as one point. Two points are awarded for shots made beyond the arc. The ball changes possession after each scored basket. In some instances there will be a referee on the court. Otherwise, all fouls are called by the players ON THE COURT at the time of the foul. Fouls called are final. Excessive fouling and roughness will not be tolerated. Tournament officials reserve the right to eject any player for improper conduct. Awards:
