Event Date: SUNDAY, JULY 15
Entry Fee: $25.00 (Must be in BSSG office by July 13)
Late Entry Fee: $30 (After July 13 must sign up on site day of the event)

• Race Course: Summer Biathlon sprint will be over a distance of 6 km. The race will begin as a wave start. After 2 km of running, the first firing session consists of 5 rounds from the prone (stomach) position. The second session consists of 2 km of running and then 5 rounds fired from the standing position. All targets are 50 meters away. For each missed target during firing sessions, competitors must cover a 100 meter penalty loop. The final loop is 2 km to the finish. The competitor’s final time determines the medal winners in each division.
  
  
• Special Information & Rules: IBU (International Biathlon Union) rulebook applies. All new participants must attend the safety clinic. 
• Safety Clinic begins at 8:30 a.m. on July 15th. 
• Zeroing will take place between 9:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. On Saturday, July 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the course will be marked for course orientation and shooting practice.
•  Divisions are based on age on date of event. A .22 caliber rifle with ammunition will be provided for competition.

Event Cancellation: The Race Commissioner reserves the right to modify, change, or cancel the Biathlon for weather and/or safety conditions.
