If you won/win a medal in the 2007 or 2008 Big Sky State Games, you will also win an invitation to the State Games of America, an opportunity to represent Montana and showcase your abilities
on a national level.  The 2009 State Games of America competition will be held Aug. 2-5 2009
in Colorado Springs, Colorado and will feature
 top-level, amateur athletes from across the

Participants will qualify by winning a medal in their local State Games in a State Games of America sport in 2007 or 2008. BSSG qualifying sports are Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Billiards, Bowling, Cycling, Figure Skating, Golf, Ice Hockey, Karate, Road Race, Racquetball, Soccer, Softball, Shooting - Rifle/Pistol, Skeet, Trap, Swimming, Table Tennis, TaeKwonDo/Judo, Tennis, Track & Field, Triathlon, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.
